Zuka Bush Camp

The camp accommodates ten guests in five comfortably appointed air conditioned suites, each with en-suite private facilities and modern amenities. Ideal for family getaways, small corporate conferences and team building trips. The understated comfort of the camp is complemented by the attentive and dedicated staff, led by Anton and Paula Louw, partners in this new ecotourism venture. The camp prides itself on home-style cuisine and an understated casual atmosphere. The dining experience is varied, with meals served at stylishly set tables in the dining room or around the roaring fire in the boma, under a blanket of stars.

Game Drives (included in rate)

Set off early, soon after sunrise or in the later afternoon in an open sided 4 X 4 vehicle, and experience the wealth of animals, birds and scenery that the reserve has on offer. Experienced game rangers and trackers carry a wealth of knowledge and will describe the habitats and behaviour of the diverse animals, from the nyala antelope to the graceful giraffe. Viewing opportunities include big game such as elephant, leopard, white rhino and buffalo. Later as the sun sets an entirely new world appears. Nocturnal bird and animal species - Giant Eagle Owls, nightjars, spotted genets, hyenas, porcupines and bush babies emerge.

Time: early morning, late afternoon and night.
Duration: approximately three hours.

Bush Walks (included in rate)

On interpretive bush walks led by rangers, you have the opportunity to see the smaller wildlife and insect population often overlooked on the game drives. Though smaller, they are just as unique and often more intriguing than their larger counterparts and deserve more attention than they often receive. There is always the opportunity of stumbling upon a herd of wild animals to break the comfort zone.

Time: morning and late afternoon.
Duration: approximately one hour
