Kwabekithunga Zulu Village and Cultural Tour

By nature, the Zulus are polite and sharing people, Chief Thomas and his family invites you to their home. Come and experience first hand the fascinating rituals and the intriguing customs and beliefs that form the circle of Zulu life.

Kwabhekithunga was not built as a commercial enterprise. It is a very special home - the tribal home of the Zulu chief and his family, and Umuzi (Zulu village), true to Zulu culture in traditions that span centuries. The rhythm of Zulu drums fills the air while dancers intricately pace out the tale of an ancient culture. Awestruck, you will witness the mystery of generations-old mystical practices as the Sangoma demonstrates her ability, so close you can reach out and touch her. To celebrate your visit the Umuzi women will create an elaborate meal with six succulent traditional dishes - prepared the Zulu way, served with fresh fruit and washed down with a choice of Zulu beer. Wine and soft drinks are also served.

THE HEADY RHYTHM OF ZULU DRUMS FILLS THE AIR AS THE DANCERS INTRICATELY PACE OUT OF THE TALE OF AN ANCIENT CULTURE SINGING VOICES RISE IN NATURAL HARMONY, FREEING THE SPIRIT. THE ENTICING AROMA OF FRESHLY COOKED ZULU FOOD WAFTS ACROSS THE CLEARING, HEIGHTENING THE SENSES. THE CHIEF RISES AND ALL ARE HUSHED UNDER THE HOT AFRICAN SUN AS HE BEGINS TO SPEAK.
