St Lucia Wetland Park

A very special slice of Africa, the St Lucia Wetland Park offers ecotourists some of the most diverse wildlife and outdoor experiences imaginable. Lake St Lucia is a unique 38 000 ha expanse of lake, islands and estuary - the park incorporates an astonishing variety of habitats ranging from the Ubombo mountains to grasslands, forests, wetlands, mangroves and vegetated dunes, with magnificent beaches and coral fields.

The kayaking safari comprises of a game drive from St Lucia to Catalina Bay. Enjoy kayaking along the shores of the estuary, seeing hippo wallowing in the water and perhaps elephant bathing at the waters edge. Enjoy a relaxing picnic with snacks and refreshments, a game walk and return paddle. An alternative activity is to enjoy the very popular relaxing boat cruise on Lake St Lucia taking in the splendour of the surrounding indigenous game and bird life. Lunch at a local restaurant.
