Zulu Experience 8 Day Dolphin Golf Package

South Africa is becoming one of the most popular golfing destinations in the world and with tours on offer like this; it is easy to see why. This 8-day tour takes you to the dramatic country of the KwaZulu Natal region on South Africa's East Coast. The itinerary is put together by the experienced South African operators at Zulu Experience and takes in five rounds of golf and a number of other tour events such as a night drive, Safari, Zulu cultural programmes, and a estuary cruise - a true African adventure!

Day 1: AArrive at Durban International Airport travel to your accommodation at Selborne Hotel. If your idea of a dream golfing getaway is to stay at a luxurious hotel, enjoying superb food and individual hospitality, all of which should be based around a really picturesque and challenging golf course, then you are at the right place.

Accommodation at Selborne Hotel

Day 2:

Enjoy your breakfast while spotting Whales and dolphins. After breakfasts depart for golf at Selborne Golf Club, to enjoy a round of golf as beautiful and challenging as Selborne country club you would have to travel the famous Augusta nationals in Georgia USA - for it was this concept combining gracious living with the great game of golf that inspired Dennis Barker to create the South African equivalent. A veritable Eden just 40 minutes drive from Durban.

Accomodation at Selborne Hotel

Day 3: After breakfasts depart for golf at Umdoni Golf Course. Umdoni is a hidden gem situated on the South Coast close to Selborne and boasts a spectacular layout with excellent fairways and greens. Guaranteed to be a memorable round of golf. Evening accommodation in Ballito at The Boathouse, only 50m from the beach, play ground to the bottlenose dolphin.

Accommodation at The Boathouse

Day 4: Depart the Villa Capri and play golf at Zimbali; Tom Weiskopf, designer and former British and South African Open Champion, located the course beyond the region's sensitive coastal forest. Utilising the natural features it is a course of two different moods as 11 of the holes are built on the rolling hillsides of this sugar cane country, and the other seven are set within indigenous coastal forest. High tees overlooking sweeping fairways, the ocean and several water hazards, are memorable features on the first nine holes. The verdant retreat revives and refreshes the weariest traveller or golfer who will be overwhelmed by this elegant, sophisticated and unspoilt sanctuary.

Day 5: Depart for golf at Princes Grant Golf Estate. The course is situated on the north coast of KwaZulu-Natal, 75 km north of Durban's city centre. Fashioned out of the indigenous coastal bush; with its dunes, humps and hollows the course has many characteristics of a typical British style links course. The course is well groomed and picturesque with many of the holes offering spectacular views of the rolling coastline. The par five 15th hole runs parallel with the coastline resulting in sublime views of the coastline all the way down to Umhlanga. The bunkers and thick bush on many of the holes require the golfer to play exacting tee shots. The clubhouse and lodge are rare examples of authentic colonial architecture and the 19th hole, Mulligan's bar with its panoramic views is the ideal place to enjoy your after round refreshments.

After golf you transfer to a Zulu cultural village called Kwabhekithunga Stewarts Farm. The architecture of this lodge has been fashioned like a traditional Zulu beehive but with modern amenities and en-suite bathroom.

Accomodation at Kwabhekithunga\Stewarts Farm Rest Camp - dinner included

Day 6: Depart Stewarts Farm Rest Camp and play golf at Empangeni golf club, a beautifully maintained inland track with a number of challenging holes, the course measures 6,543 yards from the back tees with a par of 72. After golf, transfer to the Elephant Lake Hotel in the St. Lucia Wetlands Park. Night Drive safari to St. Lucia Game Park in open back safari vehicles from 8-30pm until 11pm.
